Actiflow provided insight in the indoor climate for the renovation of the Thialf ice rink
KE Fibertec develops, manufactures, and markets air distribution systems based on fibre technology. The principle is to create a draught-free and uniform distribution of the ventilation air through tailored textile ducts.
KE Fibertec asked Actiflow to give insight in the indoor climate for the renovation of the Thialf ice rink. To create the right skating conditions, the ventilation system is one of the major factors. In cooperation with KE Fibertec, Actiflow performed an extensive CFD study to design the air and heat distribution in the stadium. Thanks to our joint effort, we created low temperatures near the ice, optimal conditions (temperature, humidity and CO2 content) for the athletes and a comfortable atmosphere for the spectators.
The analysis of Actiflow made it possible to visualize the effect of the custom fit solutions by KE Fibertec.
